About me

I am a professor of musical acoustics at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (Institute of Sound and Vibration Engineering). I completed my PhD and Habilitation in musicology and psychoacoustics and have a formal background in audio and video engineering and psychology. I am interested in how we listen to sound and music, how we can predict and understand music listening behavior, and how listening affects our wellbeing as well as our emotions, perceptions, and behaviours.
